Atlantic Pacific Playgrounds Ltd. (“The Manufacturer”) warrants that its product will be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship, and will remain structurally sound under normal use and service.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty*: Steel parts and construction, punched steel decks, stainless steel parts
• 15-Year Limited Warranty: Robinia (Black Locust Wood)
• 10-Year Limited Warranty: Roto-molded plastic parts and slides, HDPE plastic sheets, HPL (High Pressure Laminate) shelter structures, site amenity frames, netting cables, and powder coat. Similarly for shading fabrics and threads: This warranty does not cover damage or failure of the fabric caused by flying or falling objects, or the buildup of snow or ice.
• 5-Year Limited Warranty: Rope climber cables and plastic components, polycarbonate parts
• 2-Year Limited Warranty: Swing seats, print on polycarbonate
• 1-Year Limited Warranty: Materials not covered above
This warranty applies so long as The Manufacturer’s product has been assembled, installed, and maintained in strict accordance with the instructions provided by The Manufacturer, according to best practice, and has only been subjected to normal use, wear, exposure, and weather and in normal playground site conditions. Some corrosion and/or deterioration is considered “normal wear” in this environment.
Salt water such as from oceans is corrosive, but at the same time, it is also not unusual for playground equipment, site amenities, and shading to be installed in such locations. Given this reality, Products from The Manufacturer installed within 500 yards of a body of saltwater will be covered for defects caused by corrosion for half the period of the standard warranty. Products installed in direct contact with saltwater or that are subjected to salt spray are not covered by the standard warranty for any defects caused by corrosion.
The Manufacturer does not warrant its products in cases of vandalism, “acts of God”, incorrect assembly, installation, maintenance; or other negligent practices or unauthorized modifications.
In the unlikely event that a design, manufacturing, or other defect is found where The Manufacturer may be liable, the equipment owner will notify The Manufacturer within 30 days of its discovery, and will include the original order number and date. The Manufacturer will determine if the cause is defective material, craftsmanship, or some other cause for liability. In the event that The Manufacturer determines that it is liable, it is responsible to repair or replace the defective part. The Manufacturer maintains the right to alter the replacement part in a manner to ensure that the issue will not occur again in the future. No other party will attempt to correct any possible defect in the interim without express written consent of The Manufacturer. Doing so shall render the Warranty null and void.
Spare parts will be ready EXW within 15 days. Parts weighing up to 10 kg. (22 lbs.) or a maximum volume of 0.25 cubic meters (8.83 cubic feet) will be shipped by air within 7 subsequent days. Other parts will be shipped by sea delivery, arriving within 45 days.
* This clause of the warranty is valid for the product’s lifetime, as long as it remains installed and in use.
